Local Subee’s Kitchen followers, save the date! You’re invited to a Holiday Open House to celebrate my first year of blogging. Come tour the kitchen, sample some holiday treats, and see what’s coming up in Year 2. (Or I should say, help me figure out what’s coming up in Year 2!)
When: 12/12/12, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: My kitchen (Don’t all parties end up in the kitchen?) Email me at susanbwalter[at]gmail.com if you need the address.
RSVP: Please email me or post a comment to this post if you can make it. Feel free to bring a friend — the more the merrier. (Plus, I could use more followers!)
For all my non-local friends and followers, you’ll still be able to take part in the festivities. I’ll post photos and recipes shortly afterwards.

The mini gingerbread ornaments still smell great, even after several years. As my younger daughter proved last December, they’re still OK to eat after several years as well. (I wouldn’t recommend this, though.)

I made 3 of these from felt placemats; mine is from my childhood. (In other words, it’s an antique.)
I have a meeting until noon but I will come over right from there…I am not missing my chance for more yummy treats and the BEST almond toffee!
How far you’ve come in one year girlfriend! I’ll be there to share the milestone and those holiday treats : ) kris

What a festive idea! I hope to stop by. I have to drop my Mother at the airport mid-day but will probably be able to swing by depending on traffic and when she wants to get there. Treloar

Looking forward to it and celebrating an amazing year with you!
Today was wonderful. I am having a hard time deciding what I liked best. The Asian chicken salad was delicious but I think the mushroom fondue was just absolutely irresistible. Your home is lovely and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us today.
Wonderful party. I’m sort of obsessed with the chicken salad and those iced gingerbread men! Thanks for opening up your home and thanks to Kirsten for bringing me along..
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try your recipes and see the awesome “subee kitchen” Everything was yummy but you are the toffee queen!
